How do I set up my allergy profile?

Open the SafeBite app and tap the Profile tab. Select from the 14 most common allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, gluten, dairy, shellfish, and more) or add a custom allergen. You can also set a severity level for each allergen so SafeBite knows what's critical versus a preference.

How do I scan a restaurant menu?

Tap the camera icon on the home screen and point it at any physical or digital menu. SafeBite will read the menu and colour-code every dish: green means safe, yellow means caution (possible hidden allergens), and red means a confirmed allergen is present.

Can I check a menu from a website?

Yes. On the home screen, tap 'Paste URL' and enter the restaurant's website address. SafeBite will fetch and analyse the menu automatically.

How do I search for nearby restaurants?

Tap 'Find Nearby' on the home screen. SafeBite will search for restaurants near your location and let you check their menus before you go.

What does the 'Modify Dish' feature do?

After scanning a dish, tap 'How can this be modified?' SafeBite will suggest specific modifications to make the dish safe for your allergies, and generate a waiter script you can read aloud or show at the table.

How do subscriptions work?

SafeBite offers a 7-day free trial. After the trial, you can subscribe monthly ($4.99/month) or annually ($29.99/year). Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your iPhone's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to Settings on your iPhone → tap your name → Subscriptions → SafeBite → Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Is SafeBite a medical tool?

No. SafeBite is an AI-powered assistant to help you navigate menus more confidently. It does not replace professional medical advice. Always confirm with restaurant staff if you have a severe allergy.

How do I delete my account and data?

Open the SafeBite app, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This will permanently remove your profile, allergy settings, and scan history. Alternatively, contact us at vertosupport@agentmail.to and we will delete your data within 30 days.

The app isn't working — what should I do?

Try closing and reopening the app. If the problem persists, ensure you have the latest version from the App Store. You can also contact us at vertosupport@agentmail.to with a description of the issue and your device model.
